EXISTIR ES RESISTIR
After months of deep listening, collaboration, and creation, I’m honored to share Existir es Resistir, the culmination of my work during the RAíCES fellowship at Acción Latina. This exhibition is not just a body of photographs; it’s a living archive of memory, love, and survival. Every image holds a story, and every story holds the spirit of a people who refuse to be erased.
Join me in celebrating our stories at the opening reception on July 25th at Acción Latina in San Francisco. I’m endlessly grateful to all who stood beside me, posed before my lens, and helped bring this vision into being. Your presence lives in every frame. May you see yourself reflected here, powerful, rooted, and radiant. This is an ongoing project throughout a 3 month exhibition starting July 25th. Please continue to see this project evolve and check back in.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Existir es Resistir is a tribute to the resilience of our communities. As culture keepers, we move through the world guided by our ancestors and held by the strength of each other. This work is a celebration of identity, resistance, and the vibrancy of cultures that continue to bloom despite erasure, displacement, and oppression.
We are rooted.We are ancestral.
Our presence is not new, it’s a continuation of everything that came before us.
These photographs are my offering to the Mission—my home, my community, and my heart. They reflect the beauty and strength that lives in our people: regalia passed down through generations, the wisdom of our elders, and the fire of our youth. Our diversity is not a fracture, it is our power. Each portrait is a love letter to the places and people who hold our stories, and a reminder that our culture is alive, rooted, and unshakable.
